Red Mountain Honey is produced by the Carter-Holcombe Apiary in the Redmont neighborhood of Birmingham on Red Mountain. Beekeepers Carol Carter and Tena Holcombe began tending a hive for their own families' consumption. As production increased they began selling to neighbors and friends who have recommended it to area businesses.

Red Mountain Honey is currently used by Continental Bakery and Hot and Hot Fish Club, both of which make it available for retail sale.
