Riverchase United Methodist Church is located at 1953 Old Montgomery Highway in Hoover. Senior pastor since 1998 is Dr. Jim H. Savage.

The church hosts the Riverchase UMC farmer's market on Thursdays during the season.

In October 2010, a contractor for the church stripped trees and vegetation from a 7-acre hillside in preparation for additions to the church. In late October, heavy rains sent muddy sediment over temporary erosion control barriers and into neighboring Carl Raines Lake. In March 2011, the Alabama Department of Environmental Management ordered construction halted until an effective erosion control system was installed.
