The Shoe Factory Skate Slab was an unsanctioned skateboarding park located at the former Shoe Corp. warehouse at 1415 1st Avenue South, across from Railroad Park. The warehouse burned to the ground on June 8, 2006. In 2009, after the rubble was cleared away, local skateboarders began adding skate-park elements on the remaining slab. The slab was demolished in 2012 as part of construction for Regions Field.
