Spain Park High School is a public high school located off of Valleydale Road in Shelby County in the city of Hoover. It is part of the Hoover city school district. The school opened in the Fall of 2001. Hoover purchased and annexed the land which formerly was owned by the City of Birmingham in order to ease overcrowding at Hoover High School.

The principal is Billy Broadway, a graduate of Auburn University.

Athletics

Spain Park's athletic teams are nicknamed "Jaguars," often abbreviated "Jags."

For the first time in the school's short history, the Jaguar basketball team advanced to the ASHAA Final Four state championship, losing in the state semifinal game.[1]

Spain Park's football team was shown on MTV's television program Two-A-Days, as an opponent of archrival Hoover High School.[2]

Al Del Greco, former kicker for the NFL's Houston Oilers and Tennessee Titans, is the boys' golf coach and the football team's kicking coach.
