The Star Ridge Landfill (formerly Acmar Landfill) is a solid waste dump located at the site of the former Alabama Fuel and Iron Company's Acmar Mine at 3301 Acmar Road in Moody's Acmar community.

The property was leased and developed for solid waste disposal by the Acmar Regional Landfill, Inc.

In 1996 the Acmar/Moody Environmental Justice Society requested assistance from the Environmental Background Information Center of State College, Pennsylvania to investigate the operations of the landfill. Those findings led to charges filed against the operators. On March 11, 1998 Paul Burke and Joseph Farino pleaded guilty to violating the conditions of its National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit by allowing the discharge of pollutants into Big Black Creek.
