* I checked the [http://bpldb.bplonline.org/db/obituaries obituary database] for Dr Banks and came up with two spellings, "L. Frazier Banks" in the Birmingham News and "L. Fraser Banks" by Methodist Monthly. The Birmingham Board of Education lists the school's name as "Fraser L. Banks" which I know is wrong.
