What exactly constitutes Oxmoor Valley?  I thought I knew, but when I started looking at maps (see [http://alabamamaps.ua.edu/historicalmaps/topos/jefferson75min.html 7.5 min Bessemer & B'ham South from 1959], [http://alabamamaps.ua.edu/historicalmaps/topos/jefferson15min.html 15 min Bessemer]), the area I was thinking of appears just to be more of Shades Valley, according to the labels.  So is Oxmoor Valley a real valley -- perhaps where Shades Creek runs between Little Shades Mountain and Shades Mountain -- or is it just a name for the region of Shades Valley around Oxmoor that has historically seen less development? --[[User:Lkseitz|Lkseitz]] 06:34, 21 May 2008 (PDT)

Name

Due to differences in spelling, two articles were created for this development. The first was Glennbrook at Oxmoor Valley on December 19, 2006 and the latter was Glenbrook at Oxmoor Valley on May 20, 2008, both by Dystopos. They were merged by LKSeitz on May 21, 2008.
