* So what do I do with 9th Street (East Lake) which became 77th Street North/77th Street South before 1932 and then became part of Oporto-Madrid Boulevard? I don't know. --Dystopos (talk) 11:41, 30 January 2019 (PST)

** I think you list each name change separately. Which technically makes it a list of street renamings rather than renamed streets, I suppose, but I think that's fine. --Lkseitz (talk) 05:59, 5 February 2019 (PST)

** I turns out Mediawiki has a new way to do this.  I've done all the 1st Avenues/Streets and one 9th Avenue for proof of concept.  All the single digit streets need a sort value that matches their name, but with a 0 in front. --Lkseitz (talk) 05:44, 31 January 2019 (PST)

Would a "Renamed streets" category be helpful or redundant? I'm not sure we can call them "former streets" if they're still there. --Lkseitz (talk) 07:00, 2 February 2019 (PST)

Questions

Is this list going to be limited to the transcribed list or grow beyond it? Are all the lettered streets from the south side going to be included? --Lkseitz (talk) 04:46, 30 January 2019 (PST)

 • I hadn't thought that far ahead... but, no, it needn't be limited and the letter streets should be included. It would be awesome if we had a date for each change. Maybe I'll put in "1932" for all the transcribed ones for now. (That date can be refined whenever we can document the actual change.) --Dystopos (talk) 06:29, 30 January 2019 (PST)
