The Daily State Herald
The Birmingham Post-Herald article disagrees on the years the Age-Herald was sold to The Daily State and then changed back to the Age-Herald. It says each was one year later, 1896 & 1898. The Daily Herald
An advertisement in the 1887 Business Directory the name of the newspaper is given as The Birmingham Herald, not The Daily Herald.[1]
