* I had noted the discrepancy, but let it pass. Upon reflection, it appears I relied too much on [http://dspace.sunyconnect.suny.edu/bitstream/1951/42561/6/bmj190508.pdf this source], which, though it is an indirect reference, is the only one I found with the full date given. [http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1493499/pdf/annsurg00195-0007.pdf This article], perhaps more authoritative, does not spell out the date, but on re-reading, does indicate that Davis addressed the 1902 meeting (the 15th) in December and died a few months later. --[[User:Dystopos|Dystopos]] 11:16, 27 February 2010 (PST)

  • I had noted the discrepancy, but let it pass. Upon reflection, it appears I relied too much on this source, which, though it is an indirect reference, is the only one I found with the full date given. This article, perhaps more authoritative, does not spell out the date, but on re-reading, does indicate that Davis addressed the 1902 meeting (the 15th) in December and died a few months later. --Dystopos 11:16, 27 February 2010 (PST)
