Cross Burnings

In the same section where it is stated that Simmons seeks to rebuild the Klan on the inspiration of Thomas Dixon's (1905) book, there is a note that attributes the initiation of cross burnings to the (1915) movie. D.W. Griffith made the 1915 movie (Birth of a Nation) based on the 1905 book which depicted cross burnings.
