Tavern on the Summit was an upscale restaurant located at 225 Summit Boulevard, Suite 1000, in the Summit shopping center. The locally-owned eatery opened in 1998 and was inspired by English pubs. The interior featured dark wood paneling and gas lighting, while a limestone fountain and wrought-iron rails adorned the patio.
The restaurant's menu featured sandwiches, salads, steaks, chops and sides along with a lengthy wine list. After failing to negotiate for a new long term lease with Bayer Properties, the Tavern on the Summit closed in early January 2014.
