The Thomas is the name of the combined former W. S. Brown Mercantile Building at 2223-2225 2nd Avenue North and the adjoining former Harold's Furniture building at 2227. The buildings were connected by Harold Lischkoff in the 1970s or 1980s and purchased and renovated as a single development by architect Louis Nequette in 2017.
Nequette added a fourth-story penthouse for his firm, Nequette Architecture & Design, while preparing the ground floor for retail or restaurant tenants and the second and third floor for loft residences. He named the development in honor of his father, Thomas Nequette.
