United Steelworkers of America (USW) is a national union of steel workers affiliated with the AFL-CIO and headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Its District 9, which includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and the U. S. Virgin Islands is headquartered at 919 Sharit Avenue in Gardendale. Sub-District 4, which covers central-Alabama, shares the same offices. Daniel Flippo is District Director.
