Dr. Zachariah Hagood (born c. 1795, died February 21, 1875) was an early settler of Jefferson County.

Hagood arrived in Jefferson County around 1825 with several other early settlers from South Carolina. He saw success as a planter until the Civil War, after which his fortunes took an unfortunate turn. Hagood's Crossroads, now known as Pinson, was originally named for his family. Hagood was married three times and fathered twenty children.

Hagood died of pneumonia in 1875 at his home, twelve miles north of Birmingham.
