Zeigler Research Building plaque

The Rebel and Sophie C. Zeigler Medical Research Building is a ten story research building located at 703 19th Street South. It was constructed in 1971 and named for Rebel and Sophie C. Zeigler. It is adjacent to the Lyons Harrison Research Building and is also connected to the McCallum Basic Health Sciences Building. It was dedicated on October 6, 1971.

The facility contains laboratories for UAB's Departments of Anesthesiology, Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics, Genomics & Pathobiology, Medicine, Microbiology, Pathology, Surgery, and the UAB Liver Center.
