The 1968 Tuskegee student uprising was a student protest on the campus of Tuskegee Institute on April 6, 1968.

A group of 300 students barricaded a meeting of the board of trustees at Dorothy Hall, seeking several concessions that had been distributed previously. These included the institution of a Black history curriculum, ending mandatory participation in military ROTC programs, changes to the structure of classes, and the provision of financial aid to student athletes.

The administration called for Governor Lurleen Wallace to send Alabama National Guard troops to break up the demonstrators. Nevertheless, most of the students' demands were met, setting a precedent for other colleges to consult with student groups curriculum changes.
