The 2022 UAB Blazers played the 30th season of football for UAB, their 24th in Division I-A, and their 21st (and last) as a member of Conference USA. The team was coached on an interim basis by Bryant Vincent after head coach Bill Clark stepped down in June for health reasons. This was the Blazers' 2nd season hosting home games at Protective Stadium at the BJCC.

  • September 1: defeated Alabama A&M Bulldogs 59-0 before 32,542 fans at Protective Stadium.
  • September 10: lost to the Liberty Flames 14-21 in Lynchburg, Virginia.
  • September 17: defeated the Georgia Southern Eagles 35-21 before 24,302 fans at Protective Stadium.
  • October 1: lost to the Rice Owls 34-28 in Houston, Texas.
  • October 8: defeated the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders 41-14 before 23,694 fans at Protective Stadium.
  • October 15: defeated the North Carolina-Charlotte 49ers 34-20 before 22,101 fans at Protective Stadium.
  • October 21: lost to the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers 17-20 in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
  • October 29: lost to the Florida Atlantic Owls 17-24 in Boca Raton, Florida.
  • November 5: lost to the Texas-San Antonio Roadrunners 38-44 in double overtime before 17,205 fans at Protective Stadium.
  • November 12: defeated the North Texas Mean Green 41-21 before 18,504 fans at Protective Stadium.
  • November 19: lost to No. 6 LSU Bengal Tigers 10-41 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
  • November 26: defeated the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 37-27 in Ruston, Louisiana.
  • December 16: took on the Miami Redhawks in the 2022 Bahamas Bowl at Nassau, Bahama.
