Clarence Adams Jr (born in New Orleans, Louisiana) is a corporal in the Birmingham Police Department assigned to Project HOPE in coordination with One Roof.

Adams' parents, Clarence Sr and Theresa, worked as a hotel manager and nurse, respectively. His father left the hotel business to manage the Ozanam Inn homeless shelter when Clarence Jr was 14. After graduating from Thurgood Marshall High School he joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. He served through two deployments during the Iraq War. When Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans in 2005 he was working as a security guard for Paragon Systems.

Adams and his wife, Angela moved to Birmingham when she was transferred by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 2017. He joined the police department that year and served as a field training officer before taking on his present role in 2020.
