Hiro Koda

Steven Hiro Koda (born January 31, 1974 in Birmingham) is a professional stunt performer and coordinator.

Koda is the son of U.S. Yukoshai Karate founder Soke Hiroyuki Koda. He holds a 4th degree black belt in that form and has won numerous martial arts championships. Koda got his start in acting as a 12-year-old in a commercial. He pursued a film career as a stunt performer and now works steadily as a stunt coordinator and second-unit director for action sequences. His big break was in the 2001 film The Mummy Returns where as fight coordinator/fight director he trained and directed stars Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz. Lately he has been working on his own short film projects as well as performing.

He and his brother Bobby Cox opened the Club BTS restaurant and bar in Prattville in 2009. He and his wife Rachel have three children.
