J & J Drugs and Compounding Center is an independent pharmacy located at 1318 Main Street in Gardendale. It is part of the Health Mart network.
The business was founded in 1962 by Joe Page. Pharmacist Steve Hill became a partner in the business before 1980. On July 14 of that year, Page was shot to death in an apparent robbery. No cash was taken, but a quantity of drugs was missing.
