Jade Powers is the Hugh Kaul Curator of Contemporary Art for the Birmingham Museum of Art.

Powers earned her bachelor of arts in art history and religious studies at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana in 2013, and her master of arts in religious studies at Indiana University in Bloomington in 2015. After graduating, Powers completed a Romare Bearden Fellowship at the Saint Louis Art Museum in St Louis, Missouri.

She was the assistant curator of contemporary art for the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas City, Missouri from 2018 to 2022, and curator of contemporary art at the Harn Museum of Art in Gainesville, Florida. She joined the Birmingham Museum of Art in September 2023.
