Jill Madajczyk

Jill Madajczyk (born c. 1965 in Crown Point, Indiana; died December 23, 2023 in Birmingham) was an attorney and chief compliance officer for the City of Birmingham.

Madajczyk graduated from Crown Point High School and earned a bachelor of science in political science and criminal justice at Indiana University in Bloomington in 1987. She then completed a juris doctorate at the Valparaiso University School of Law in 1990.

She began working at Wolff Ardis attorneys in Memphis, Tennessee in 2000. In 2009 she was hired by the City of Memphis as an assistant city attorney. She was promoted to deputy director of human resources in 2012.

Mayor Randall Woodfin recruited Madajczyk to serve as Birmingham's Director of Human Resources in 2018. She was named Chief Organizational Compliance Officer in June 2023.

Madajczyk died from lung cancer in December 2023.
