Qunelius "Cory" Pettway (born August 22, 1988) is a community activist and former outreach coordinator for Birmingham City Council District 5 representative Darrell O'Quinn. He ran unsuccessfully as a candidate for Birmingham City Council District 4 in the 2017 Birmingham municipal election, and ran again in the 2021 Birmingham municipal election.
Pettway graduated from Midfield High School in 2006 and married the former Taketha QuaShawn in 2008. He has studied social work at Miles College, counseling at Baptist College of Florida and early childhood education at Jefferson State Community College. He is a former teacher in the JCCEO's "Early Head Start" program and an event specialist for McWane Science Center.
Pettway and serves on the board for the Birmingham chapter of the National Juneteeth Observance Day.
