9th Avenue Southwest Bessemer is a major northeast-southwest route through western Bessemer, a continuation of 9th Avenue North Bessemer, which is also known as Bessemer Super Highway (U.S. Highway 11) leading from Birmingham.

9th Avenue Southwest begins at Somerset Boulevard, west of downtown Bessemer and about a third of a mile northeast of Splash Adventure Parkway.
