19th Place South (originally Columbia Avenue) in Homewood is a southern extension of Birmingham's 19th Place South, although the two have never connected. The approximately 0.3-mile, north-south road runs from Lynn Boulevard, just south of Rosedale Drive, through the Homewood Central Business District to 29th Avenue South. Another section of the street stretches one block north and south of 25th Court South in a residential portion of Rosedale, north of Rosedale Drive.

The road was renamed from Columbia Avenue during the 1940s when Homewood renamed several streets to continue Birmingham's street numbering system.
