The 2020 UAB Blazers played the 28th season of football for UAB, their 22nd in Division I-A, and their 19th as a member of Conference USA. The team was coached by Bill Clark, in his 5th season as head coach, not including two years that the program was on hiatus.
The 2020 season was threatened by the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic, with the Big Ten, Pac-12, Mid-American, and Mountain West conferences all postponing play. The Southeastern Conference elected to cancel non-conference games.
