With the capacity to work one in-bound and one out-bound train per day, the facility can handle 40,000 containers per year. Currently the hub primarily serves trains bound for the ports of Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia. Future expansion could handle additional traffic from Chicago and Mobile.

The hub is operated by a CSX contractor. It has 5,000 feet of working track, stacking space for 1,000 40-foot containers and parking space for 307 trailer-mounted containers.
