Denise McNair

Carol Denise McNair (born November 17, 1951; died September 15, 1963 in Birmingham) was the youngest of the four girls killed in the 1963 bombing of 16th Street Baptist Church. She was the first child of Chris McNair and his wife, Maxine.

Denise attended Center Street Elementary School and organized an annual fund-raising variety show in her yard to support muscular dystrophy research.

On August 19, 2007 McNair's parents relocated her casket from Shadow Lawn Cemetery to a family-owned plot at Elmwood Cemetery.
