Immediate is a financial services firm which works with employers to facilitate "on-demand early access pay" onto debit cards, along with financial wellness tools, reducing hourly workers' reliance on check cashing and payday loan services.
It was founded in 2019 by Matt Pierce and Jason Gwizdala.. Its offices are located in Birmingham's Innovation Depot. Mason Beard was hired in 2020 as the company's chief strategy officer.
In 2020 Immediate partnered with Simpeo to provide financial wellness tools to its clients' employees. In 2021 the company closed a $15.5 round of investment capital for expanding its sales and marketing efforts. In April of that year it signed Steward Health Care of Dallas, Texas to its list of clients.
