Ishkooda was a mining community located in southwest Birmingham that was developed by the Tennessee Coal, Iron & Railroad Co. around its No. 11 to No. 15 ore mines on Red Mountain between Mimm's Gap and Grace's Gap, along a spur of the Birmingham Mineral Railroad extending northeast from Wenonah.
