M. Weil & Bro. was a clothing and furnishing store founded in 1886 by brothers Marcus and Ben Weil who moved to Birmingham from Monroe, Louisiana. The store was located in the Potter Building at 1915-1917 1st Avenue North from 1886 to 1918, and then, several months after Marcus' death, moved to 2nd Avenue North.
