Malcovery Security was a firm that provided customized intelligence reports and strategy consulting to combat cyber-crime, malware, phishing and other network-borne attacks against businesses.
The company was founded by Gary Warner in 2013 based on his experience and research as head of the Center for Information Assurance and Joint Forensics Research at UAB. Other co-founders included Don Scelza and Phil Compton.
The company operated from Birmingham's Innovation Depot. Its CEO was G. T. LaBorde, a former executive of MedMined.
In October 2015 Malcovery was acquired by Leesburg, Virginia-based PhishMe
