They brought the startup to Birmingham in 2018 to participate in Innovation Depot's "Velocity Accelerator" program and won investment funding from Steve Case's Revolution Fund during a "Rise of the Rest" tour event in Birmingham. In October 2018 Mixtroz raised $1 million in investment capital to expand operations. It raised another $1 million investment in a round led by Black Star Fund in 2021. In September of that year Mixtroz was named as one of three Birmingham firms receiving $100,000 investments from the Google for Startups US "Black Founders Fund".
