Walter Lee "Newt" Joseph (born October 27, 1896 in Birmingham; died January 18, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri) was a third baseman and manager for the Kansas City Monarchs of the Negro National League.

Joseph debuted with the Monarchs in 1922 and participated in the 1924 Colored World Series against the Eastern Colored League champions, Hilldale. He was known as a solid player and as "the noisiest coach in baseball." His last season as manager came with owner J. L. Wilkinson's "Travelers" version of the Monarchs, featuring Satchel Paige, which toured the United States in 1940.

Joseph died in 1953 and is buried at Kansas City's Highland Cemetery.
