Construction of the Park Tower commenced in November [[1967]]. At this time its construction was to cost an estimated $2,750,000 to complete and featured 107 total units. The project team included: [[Brandon Crawford & Associates]] as architect, [[F. R. Hoar & Sons]] as general contractor, and [[First National Bank of Birmingham]] provided construction financing. The building was topped-out on [[June 29]], [[1968]] and opened to residents in November 1968.
