Christ Episcopal Church Fairfield

Christ Episcopal Church Fairfield is a parish church in the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, located at 4912 Lloyd Noland Parkway in downtown Fairfield. It was first organized on March 29, 1911 by lay leaders Joseph Weldon and William Pearson. It was admitted to the diocese as a mission named Holy Comforter Church in 1923. Its first church building was completed in 1929 with the first service being held on April 7. The church was admitted to the diocese as a parish in 1947.

A new church building was erected in 1981. In 1995 the church had 350 members.

A two story wood-frame house on Carnegie Alley behind the church was painted in bright rainbow colors and formerly used for YouthWorks programs.
