Evans Meats
Evans Meats & Seafood, Inc. is a wholesale meat and seafood distributor, founded in August 1998 by Butch Evans, the son of Southeastern Meats founder J. T. Evans. Its offices are located at 617 21st Avenue West, off Finley Boulevard in Thomas.
The company specializes in high-quality meats for restaurants, hotels, private clubs and boutique grocery stores. Butch's son Addam pioneered a fresh Gulf seafood line in 2008 and has helped expand the company's territory in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia and Florida. In addition to beef, chicken, pork, lamb and veal, and seafood, the company also distributes deli meats, cured meats, sausages, game meats, specialty cheeses, and other gourmet food items.
In 2021 the company partnered with John Anselmo to open a retail storefront at 2800 3rd Avenue South in Pepper Place.
