Gwendolyn Bell

Gwendolyn Thomas Bell (born c. 1949) is a school counselor at New Hope Christian School.

Bell has a bachelor's degree in social science from Miles College and a master's degree in guidance and counseling from Alabama State University. She retired from the Alabama Department of Youth Services and is pursuing a second master's in education administration at Strayer University.

Bell ran as a candidate for the Birmingham Board of Education, District 6 in the 2009 election, losing in a runoff to incumbent Willie Maye Jr. She ran again for the same seat in the 2013 Birmingham municipal election.
