Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). It is located at 5080 Cahaba Valley Trace at the intersection with Alabama State Highway 119.

History

The congregation was formed in 1989 as a church plant by Briarwood Presbyterian Church. A campaign of 13,000 phone calls led by Pastor Bob Flayhart resulted in an attendance of 150 at the first worship service on Palm Sunday.

In 1999 the church founded Oak Mountain Classical School, a K-12 school which graduated its first senior class in 2006. The school is now called the The Westminster School and enrolls over 500 students. The church also sponsors Boy Scout Troop 533.

In 2005 the church dedicated a new $10 million, 62,000-square-foot sanctuary.

After 34 years of leadership by Lead Pastor Flayhart, OMPC elected Caleb Click as its next Lead Pastor, who will assume the role in January 2024.
