Smith Lake Castle

The Smith Lake Castle is a distinctive large residence built on a bluff 400 feet above Smith Lake. It occupies a 6-acre parcel accessed from Cullman County Road 211 northwest of Bremen.

The 4,974 square-foot, four bedroom, 3 1/2-bath house was constructed on an 18-acre lot in 1980 by a building professional. He sold it in 1995 to a couple who owned it until they decided to downsize in 2019.

The property, which also includes an 8,000 square-foot garage building and a boathouse, was initially listed for $5.25 million, but soon dropped to $4.6 million.

The house, garage, boathouse and 6-acre lot were put on the market again in 2023 and 2024, with an asking price of $4.9 million.
