Tommy Stewart is a jazz trumpeter, arranger and composer residing in Birmingham. He is a member of several active performing groups, including the Magic City Jazz Orchestra, the Night Flight Big Band, The Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame All-Stars, Ray Reach and Friends and Cleve Eaton and the Alabama All Stars. In 1988, Tommy was inducted into the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame. In addition, Tommy is a faculty member of the educational program for the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame.

Stewart attended Alabama State University, where he directed the famed Bama State Collegians, and Eastman School of Music, where he studied arranging. He has worked with Duke Pearson, Ray Charles, Sonny Stitt, Alice Coltrane and many others.
