Center Point Fire Station No. 5 at 5470 Chalkville Road in the Chalkville area in the city limits of Clay, is a fire station for the Center Point Fire District, opened in 1995. Fire Station No. 5 houses Engine 5 (1995 Pierce Contender) and Rescue 5 (2003 Ford F350). Its reponse area is Chalkville, Grayson Valley and portions of Center Point, Pinson and Clay. It was originally a converted former house, located at the intersection of Chalkville Road and Galloway Drive.
On October 9, 2008, the new Station No. 5 officially opened on the site of the original facility. The new station can handle up to 8 personnel. Prior to completion, firefigthers' quarters were in a FEMA trailer parked in the adjacent garage, constructed in 2007. EMT quarters were in an apartment a few blocks away.
In 2013, Clay annexed the property, including the fire station, into its corporate limits.
