The Edge Homewood is a proposed mixed-use development for a 4-acre site 815–817 Green Springs Highway in Homewood. The project was announced by J. J. and Whitney Thomas and is set to feature a shaded outdoor "gathering space" with picnic and play areas and a small amphitheater. The space will also be served by a 2,000 square foot brewery tap room along with a mix of restaurant stalls, shops, and/or co-working spaces.
Black Design Architecture designed the project with Lorberbaum McNair & Associates landscape architects. It was built by Wyatt Construction with a planned opening in late 2023. That plan was postponed as a 5,000 square-foot "phase 2" was announced in early 2024.
