Alvin Rutledge (born c. 1955) is an employment specialist for The Arc of Jefferson County, a long time officer for the Killough Springs neighborhood association, and was a candidate for Birmingham City Council District 2 in the 2005 and 2009 Birmingham City Council elections.

He has served as an officer in the Killough Springs neighborhood association for more than 20 years. He ran unsuccessfully in 2002 for a State Senate seat and in the 2005 Birmingham City Council election for District 2. He was also unsuccessful running for the District 2 position again in 2009 on a platform of strengthening neighborhoods, improving schools, reducing crime and promoting economic development, coming in fifth out of seven candidates.
