The 2022 UAB Blazers played the 30th season of football for UAB, their 24th in Division I-A, and their 21st (and last) as a member of Conference USA. The team was coached on an interim basis by Bryan Vincent after head coach Bill Clark stepped down in June for health reasons. This was the Blazers' 2nd season hosting home games at Protective Stadium at the BJCC.

- November 12: defeated the North Texas Mean Green 41-21 before 18,504 fans at Protective Stadium.
- November 19: lost to No. 6 LSU Bengal Tigers 10-41 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
- November 26: defeated the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 37-27 in Ruston, Louisiana.
- December 16: took on the Miami Redhawks in the 2022 Bahamas Bowl at Nassau, Bahama.
