B. L. Harbert International (BLHI) is a construction company with specialties in governmental, commercial, healthcare and civil engineering design-build projects around the world. The company was founded in 2000 by Billy Harbert, Jr. Its main offices are at 820 Shades Creek Parkway, with an international office at 1030 London Drive.
Projects
BLHI is perhaps best known for designing and constructing United States embassies in 32 countries since 1986. The firm has also constructed hotels, resorts and infrastructure projects in Aruba, Colombia, Ecuador, Jamaica, Malaysia, Palestine, Qatar, Uganda and all over the United States. It has also been responsible for construction of numerous projects in the Birmingham region, including:
