Lakeshore Pavilion

Lakeshore Pavilion is a 68,000 square-foot, $18 million shopping center under construction on a 16-acre site at the intersection of Lakeshore Parkway and Shannon-Wenonah Road, backing up to a tributary of Little Shades Creek in Birmingham's Oxmoor neighborhood, near Hoover's Ross Bridge subdivision. It was developed by MAB American Management of Charlotte, North Carolina, who purchased the property from U.S. Steel. The center was built by the Benning Construction Company of Atlanta, Georgia.

The center is anchored by a 48,000 square-foot Publix supermarket. The grocery store is a prototype design, incorporating special accommodations for online order pick-up and home delivery services. Because the store would help address a food desert in District 7, the project was supported by up to $3.3 million in tax rebate incentives from the City of Birmingham over seven years.
