This is a List of Birmingham homicides in 2011. It includes homicide cases occuring within the city limits during the calendar year. Note that a "homicide" refers to the cause of death as determined by a medical examiner, not to the commission of the crime of murder as charged by police and prosecutors.

- January 12: Ronald Durr, 49, was found injured and suffering from exposure in a vacant lot off Dugan Avenue near Hixon Street in the North Pratt neighborhood (map). He died later at UAB Hospital. No arrrest. (report)
- January 18: Nina Gardner, 30, was found shot to death at her home at 228 South Park Road in the Germania Park neighborhood (map). A suspect was taken into custody, but has not been charged. (report)
