Alecia's Specialty Foods is a producer of gourmet chutneys and other food products, based in Leeds. All products are prepared from fresh ingredients in small batches and sold in local supermarkets and in gourmet shops around the country. Their chutneys are also used in numerous area restaurants.
Caterer Alecia Warnock began giving jars of her chutney to friends in the early 1990s. A jar found its way to Frank Stitt, who began using it in recipes at his Highlands Bar & Grill. She and her husband, Prince built a commercial kitchen in a former caretaker's cottage on their property to produce the product for retail and restaurant sale. Their son, Prince, Jr, a former chef at Hot and Hot Fish Club and Standard Bistro, now oversees production.
Currently Alecia's supplies chutneys to numerous restaurants, including the Taziki's and Baha Burgers chains. Soup mixes and other products have been available in limited production.
